A SaskTel work site outside the post office in Kindersley has been active all week long.
Businesses in and around Main Street have been reporting phone outages as early as last Friday. Those reports kept coming in to start the work week, affecting businesses not just in the proximity of the Main Street, but also the phone lines for businesses on 12 Ave E in Kindersley including Kindersley Mainline, Best Western in Kindersley along with the All Suites Hotel as well.
Integra Tire was another business without phones to start the week, but they were happy to share that the lines opened again on Wednesday. The Kindersley Co-op Food Store hasn't been as lucky, the work taking place just outside their location on 3 Avenue E.
WestCentralOnline has reached out to SaskTel for more information regarding the outage situation. It's affecting some homes internet connection as well, and no timetable or information has been shared as to why the outages are taking place.
Heavy rain and flood like conditions in spots could be the reason. WestCentralOnline will have more details as they become available.
