Five volunteer emergency service teams across the province are receiving a boost from MyMutual Insurance through its ongoing Geared Up campaign.

Now in its fourth year, the campaign supports volunteer fire departments and first responder groups by funding essential equipment and training needs.

For the 2025 round of funding, MyMutual has selected the Edam Turtle River Fire Department, Elbow Volunteer Fire Department, Lipton Volunteer Fire Department, RM of Scott Medical First Responders, and Stoughton/Tecumseh Fire and Rescue.

Each recipient will be featured in a video profile produced by MyMutual, showcasing their team, the work they do, and their role in the community.

Since launching in 2022, the Geared Up campaign has awarded over $100,000 to volunteer emergency responders across Saskatchewan. Previous recipients include Macklin Fire Department and Rosthern Fire Department, who were selected in 2024.

You can find the Macklin Fire Department video here.

MyMutual encourages departments to apply annually for the campaign, which aims to highlight the importance of rural emergency teams and help keep Saskatchewan communities safe. Applications are accepted between January and March.
