Several facilities will be closed in High River for Canada Day.
On Tuesday (July 1), High River’s Town Hall, Family and Community Support Services (FCSS), Greater Foothills Family Centre, Public Works, the Recycling Centre, and the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex will be closed.
The administration offices for both the RCMP and the High River Fire Department will also be closed. However, there will be no disruptions to emergency services.
George Lane Memorial Park will be closed to vehicles, with 9 Street SE and 9 Avenue SE closed, along with access to 9 Avenue SE from 10 and 11 Street SE.
There will also be no garbage collection on Canada Day. Instead, waste collection is set for today (June 30).
Canada Day celebrations run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at George Lane Park, and start again at Emerson Lake from 7 to 11 p.m.
