Several communities in southeastern Manitoba experienced stormy weather on Saturday, with hail, heavy rain and weather warnings issued in parts of the region.
Environment Canada issued weather watches and warnings throughout the day, with scattered storms developing in the afternoon and evening. Dominion City was among the areas affected by hail and rainfall.

Rainfall amounts varied significantly across the Southeast, according to Manitoba Agriculture. Dominion City received 19.4 millimetres of rain, while Rosa saw the highest total in the region at 19.8 mm. Elma recorded 17.8 mm, Gardenton 9.6 mm, and Zhoda 3.3 mm.
Lighter totals were reported in Vivian with 1.8 mm, Marchand at 1.7 mm, and Dugald at 1.3 mm. However, some communities, including Steinbach, recorded no measurable rainfall at all.

Sunday’s weather starts calm but could turn stormy
The stormy pattern may continue today. This morning, sunshine across much of the region, but forecasters are calling for a mix of sun and cloud by late afternoon with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms.
Winds will become west at 30 kilometres per hour, gusting to 50 km/h. The daytime high is expected to reach 26°C, with a humidex of 29 and a UV index of 8, which is considered very high.
Tonight, the forecast includes a 60 per cent chance of showers and the possibility of thunderstorms this evening and after midnight. Winds from the west at 30 km/h will become light later this evening, with an overnight low of 16°C.

Looking ahead to Monday, there's a 30 per cent chance of showers with a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon. Winds will shift to the northwest at 30 km/h, gusting to 50, and temperatures are expected to reach 26°C, with a humidex of 30.
