The 2nd annual Medieval Faire and Tournament was another very successful event for the organizers.

Brothers Ryan and Warren Neilson were thrilled by how well the tournament unfolded.

Ryan was impressed with the steady stream of spectators and how smoothly it ran.

"It's going really well this year. We're quite impressed with the outcome. We definitely went for making it a larger faire, fingers were crossed that it was still going to work like it did last year, and we're impressed with how it's going."

While there was some wind on Saturday afternoon this year, the knights fighting in shining armour were moved indoors to the riding arena at the High River Ag grounds.

There were more melees, more fighters, more vendors, more food trucks and more entertainment.

The jousting this year was a big hit with four different knights jousting outside on the Ag grounds racetrack.

One of the jousters even came over from Norway to participate.

Neilson said they have even bigger plans for next year but are keeping them under wraps for now.
