If you are planning on being outdoors on Canada Day, you're in luck. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada, it's going to be hot and sunny throughout the day with a warm, clear night.
"It's definitely a warmer than normal for the next few days at least. Today is mild, but then again, a normal high for right now is a high of 25 and a low of 11. Then we've got three days above 30 being forecast Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday so definitely a warm week and then it looks like next weekend we kind of settle back to near normal temperatures again." said meteorologist, Crawford Luke.
"It's just looking basically hot and sunny until Wednesday night at least. So, it's looking like a good stretch for Canada Day,"
Luke added that the only thing to keep an eye out for over the next several days is the UV index, which is expected to be 8 or very high until at least Thursday. However, the risks can be mitigated by avoiding the midday sun, wearing a wide brim hat, or using adequate amounts of sunscreen.
