Brooks RCMP reunite 7-year-old child with family

Brooks RCMP reunited a found child with their family over the weekend.

On Friday (June 27) police announced that they were looking for the family of a young child who was found alone on Highway 1, approximately 1 kilometre away from Brooks.

Officers described the child as around 7 years old, wearing an orange T-shirt, pyjama-style shorts, and white socks. Despite canvassing the area, officers could not locate the child's family.

However, the following morning, it was announced that the child had been reunited with their care providers.

Brooks RCMP thanked the community for their thoughts and feedback in the investigation.
