With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Irene Yacucha on January 10, 2025 at the Lions Prairie Manor with family by her side at the age of 95 years.
Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: Gail, Dallas, Shaun (Kevin) and Dean (Paula); grandchildren Cole, Taylor, Stephen and Emily; along with relatives and friends. Irene was predeceased by her husband Steve in 1970.
Irene was born in Fife Lake, SK and came to Manitoba for work and Married Steve. She was the oldest of 9 siblings, she had 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Irene always looked after a big garden and she would take some of her produce back to her family in Saskatchewan. She made quilts and shared them with us.
She dedicated her life to her family, making sure they were taken care of and that they were safe, healthy and happy. She was always there to encourage and support her children and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Irene’s memory to the Lions Prairie Manor Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba or PAWS.
Flynn Memorial Services is entrusted with the service arrangements.
