It was a Canada Day showdown last night at Ross Wells Park. The Moose Jaw Miller Express took on the Swift Current 57's, and despite a strong start in the first inning, fell 13–2.

A former Moose Jaw Cyclone football player is moving on to the next level of his football career.

Donovan Harkness will become a member of the Saskatoon Hilltops of the Canadian Junior Football League as a wide receiver.

After committing to the Hilltops back in February, Harkness then officially signed with the team on June 1.

The season kicks off for the Saskatoon Hilltops on Sunday, August 10, in Winnipeg against the Rifles.
