The Weyburn Agricultural Society’s Interclub 4-H Show saw the top exhibitors recognized for their hard work on Tuesday. The Grand Champions were crowned in the Souris Valley Industries Show and Sale Arena at the exhibition grounds. 

Taking home the title of Grand Champion Fed Calf was Rylan Fladeland of the Radville 4-H Beef Club. Brayden Fladeland, also representing the Radville club, earned Reserve Grand Champion Fed Calf honours and was also named Champion Homegrown Fed Calf. 

In the Cloverbud division, the Champion Fed Calf was exhibited by Gideon Gustafson of the Cymri 4-H Beef Club, while Sage Davidson from the Weyburn 4-H Beef Club was awarded Reserve Champion. 

Cole Gordon of the Weyburn Sheep 4-H Club secured the Grand Champion Market Lamb award, with Jack Wright, also from Weyburn’s Sheep 4-H Club, named Reserve Champion. 

In the Jackpot classes, Grady Gutzke claimed top spot in the Market Lamb Show. Among the cattle entries, Payton Caldwell exhibited the Champion Heifer Calf, Ryder Fellner took home both the Champion Bull Calf and Champion Pen of Commercial Heifers, and Lexi O’Connor was awarded Champion Breeding Heifer. Mason Thackeray rounded out the Jackpot results by exhibiting the Champion Steer. 

Wednesday’s events begin at 8 a.m. with the Interclub 4-H Beef Female Show. Later in the day, at 1 p.m., the awards presentations will honour all winners from this year’s competitions, including the announcement of the Breeder’s Herd Winner. 

The annual Interclub 4-H Livestock Sale will follow at 2:30 p.m., featuring 131 fed calves and 21 market lambs up for auction.
