It was a rough outing for the Moose Jaw Miller Express as they dropped a 13-2 decision to the Swift Current at Ross Wells Park for their Canada Day Bash on Tuesday.
Swift Current opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the top of the first. Moose Jaw replied with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to tie it 2-2. Eduardo Saenz hit a sacrifice fly to right field to score Thomas Soto. Jackson Yeager then hit a single to score Williams Edwards.
After that, the 57s scored 11 unanswered runs to take the victory.
The Miller Express remain in fourth place in the East Division with a record of 12-14 and sit a half game back of the Regina Red Sox for third and 10.5 games behind the Saskatoon Berries for first place.
Moose Jaw is back in action on Wednesday night when they head to Saskatoon to face the Berries.
