It's become the weekly summer tradition that keeps on giving!

Yesterday, the Taste of Summer Charity BBQ series, powered by our friends at Kingston Midstream, was another overwhelming success today! This week, our stop was at The Brick at the Estevan Market Mall, where we supported the Children's Miracle Network. The Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon is the main benefactor hospital for the charity in Saskatchewan.

At the event, we got to meet Carlyle's Blaze Dunn - the 2025 Children's Miracle Network Champion Child for the province. He's an electric 11-year-old patient of the hospital who's battled through lifelong ailments, as well as a bike accident a few years ago.

Hundreds of people lined up to grab a hot dog, a burger, drinks and ice cream to help support Blaze's movement and to help donate more money to the hospital that saved his life.

"[The hospital] means everything. I mean, it means we got to stay close to home for all the specialized care he needed. It means we got the supports we needed when we needed them and still get them. It's everything to us. I don't know what we would have done without that children's hospital being so close to home," shared Carol-Lyne Dunn, Blaze's mom.

Overall, we managed to earn $1,093 from the generous donations from everyone who stopped by!

Thank you for supporting yesterday's stop at The Brick at the Estevan Market Mall for the Taste of Summer Charity BBQ Series. Because of your contributions, kids all over the province, just like Blaze, will be getting the specialized care they need.

You can continue to donate to their movement on their Facebook page - Blaze a Trail for Kids.

Next Wednesday, join us at Southeast Eyecare from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, as we raise money for Envision Counselling and Support Centre. You can find out more about the Taste of Summer Charity BBQ Series powered by Kingston Midstream here.
