The Town of Claresholm is reminding residents to take steps to ensure they are being good neighbours.

The town shared ways residents can ensure they are good neighbours in a Facebook post, such as keeping their property clean, and being considerate of others.

“Claresholm is a community built on respect, care, and pride,” the post said. “Being a good neighbour means more than just keeping your property clean, it means showing consideration for those around you.”

Residents are encouraged to keep their yards tidy, trim trees and bushes, keep sidewalks clear, remove garbage and debris, avoid accumulating outdoor clutter, and ensure that fences and buildings are maintained and look their best.

Pet owners are reminded that their dogs must not roam freely and to find ways to mitigate excessive barking.

“Whether you own or rent, your role in our community matters,” the post said. “Let’s all take pride in where we live and help Claresholm remain clean, friendly, and neighbourly.”

In addition to looking after their properties and rentals, residents are encouraged to be considerate of their neighbours.

“Show care and concern, be considerate of your neighbours' peace, privacy, and well-being,” the post said.
