Following an unexpected closure, the pool at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex (BSRC) will remain closed until further notice.

The facility was closed on June 24 due to an unscheduled heating system shutdown in the mechanical room.

Repairs to the heating system are now underway, and a reopening update is expected to be announced next week.

All active pass holders as of June 24 will receive a one-month extension once the pool reopens. Refunds will be provided to accounts for all town-run lessons scheduled during the closure.

To facilitate work on the expansion project, the pool is scheduled to be closed between July 28 to Aug. 1, for construction.

Following the scheduled closure, the pool will reopen on Aug. 2 at 9 a.m. for regular activities.

“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to enhance our recreational facility and ensure a safe environment for all users,” the Town of High River said in a news release.
