The Weyburn Police Service is offering safety reminders to fairgoers as Weyburn Agricultural Society Fair Days continues with the opening of the Midway. Sergeant Riley Ross stresses the importance of staying safe while having fun.
“When going to the fair, we obviously want people to enjoy their time and have fun, but we also want people to be safe. It looks like this weekend is going to be hot, so we recommend people make sure that they stay hydrated and are eating.”
Sergeant Ross explains that while there is a security team at the fair, the WPS is available to take calls and assist people however they are needed.
He asks everyone to do their part in maintaining safe and respectful fun.
“We ask people to be respectful to the fair and also the employees of the fair and also the other fair goers, but most importantly, we want people to be out there and to have fun and we want the fair to be as successful as it can be.”
