Not only are they the ones behind the upcoming Norm Neigum World Series of Mud & Dirt Drags on July 25-26, but the Good to Go Racing team based out of Kindersley is a professional, blown alcohol mud racing and sand drag racing group taking events by storm.
Shayne Neigum is the lead driver for the team and talked about their early season schedule so far.
"We've been off to a good start; it was really busy with back-to-back weekends. We started in St. Walburg and was fortunate enough to have a good start and win the shootout there. Our other car, in the super-mod class did really well," said Neigum, adding that their resident Bronco did well too.
"We field a few units and try to help support each show." said Neigum, as the next event in Provost was another good outing with the super-mod car finishing first once again.

Anyone who has spent time in the racing community knows that family is a big driver in the sport.
Neigum got into racing by following his dad Norm, the memorial namesake of the upcoming event returning to the East 40 Motorplex in late July.
Now Shayne is the one inspiring a new generation of racers in the family with his two nephews Nash and Noah Reschny competing in the junior division. The Good to Go juniors placed first and second in the pro junior class at the races in St. Walburg.
"I get more enjoyment helping them young up and comers, like my dad did with me, then even racing myself even more."
At the races in Provost Nash and Noah placed first and second once again, leading the latter to ask for a little more power joked Neigum.
"That was back-to-back (wins) for Noah, so I know for Kindersley, Nash has been whispering in my ear to give to give him a little more power to nip his brother in the butt there."

Any racing event gets better with more competitors. That's why Neigum always tries to bring as much of the fleet as possible.
"We just have such a good time with it." he said. "We try to get there to support communities, because the amount of support we get with racers and competitors coming our way for our big show, you got to reciprocate that."
Good to Go Racing has a race day coming up next weekend but are more focused on the end of July dates in Kindersley. It's a busy time preparing for the annual racing spectacle east of Kindersley, but there is still lots of season left after says Neigum.
"We will round it out August 20th weekend out in Cold Lake, then we might go to the national finals again down in St. Louis, Missouri. I had a pretty good outing (last time), got second and fourth with our two big blower cars, out of 19 cars. That was the best-of-the best." said Neigum, as his trip to the Midwest helped recruit some major horsepower to come north of the border for their event in July.
"I'm pretty excited to have multiple blower cars, lots of horsepower on our property, and people are going to be in for a good show."
Engines will be roaring, and the dirt will be flying; but that's not all the weekend will have to offer as you can check out the poster below:
