Hundreds of residents attended the Strathmore Ag Grounds over the weekend to enjoy a unique collection of vehicles and a delicious food selection.
The Zegil Automotive and Transmission and Pure Country Meats fifth annual car show took place on Saturday (July 5). Despite the day starting cloudy with a bit of rain, the sky cleared up as the event went on.
Zegil helped bring in over a hundred vehicles for residents to see, while Pure Country served up beef on a bun and farmer's sausage hot dogs to satisfy hungry residents. Every dollar from the community BBQ went towards Alpine View's Rescued Paws program.
Rescued Paws was also in attendance, bringing several adoptable dogs for residents to meet. By the end of the car show, three dogs had been adopted.
There were also several family-friendly activities, including a bouncy castle and an engine-building competition that drew in dozens of spectators.
The event ended with a raffle draw before announcing the winners of the car show, with there being several categories which residents voted on.
