A 32-year-old woman from Sundre has been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle and credit card thefts in Airdrie, and was taken into custody on 48 outstanding Alberta warrants.

Between June 26 and July 1, 2025, Airdrie RCMP was dispatched to assist with three stolen vehicles. The suspect broke into lockers at a recreational centre in Airdrie and subsequently stole car keys and credit cards. The credit cards were then used fraudulently for purchases at several locations in Airdrie.

On July 1, 2025, at 1:09 p.m., Airdrie RCMP was dispatched to an unrelated call to assist with a landlord and tenant issue. Through the course of this investigation, Danielle Kelly was located in the subject residence. Airdrie RCMP was able to link Danielle Kelly as the suspect in the aforementioned vehicle and credit card thefts, and she was arrested.

Kelly was charged for the following 21 offences on six separate Airdrie investigations:

  • Theft of a motor vehicle (x3)

  • Theft of vehicle keys (x1)

  • Breach of release conditions (x8)

  • Breach of probation conditions (x3)

  • Theft credit card (x1)

  • Unlawfully use credit card (x4)

  • Obstruct police officer (x1)

A judicial interim hearing was completed with Ms. Kelly, and she was consequently remanded in custody.
