Rob Carney - Let's talk about the Student Summer Pass, it's up for purchase right now and it's a fantastic deal for youth in Moose Jaw ages 13 to 17.
Maryse Carmichael - Yes, it's our transit pass and recreation pass, both of them combined. So, for $95 plus tax you can have these two passes from July 1 until August 31.
(The bus pass) it will take you throughout the city and with the recreation pass, you can take advantage of swimming at our Kinsmen Sportsplex—which is reopened by the way—and we have the Phyllis Dewar Outdoor Pool of course, and our brand-new turf at the Yara Centre.
Go and check it out. It's bright green and beautiful. You can take advantage of the bus pass and the recreation pass all in one.
Rob - And for younger kids, ages six to 12, the free Summer Playground Program is up and running, and it's a little different than it has been in the past. We want kids to get registered for these weekly events, right?
Maryse - It is best for us so we can plan ahead of time. For kids six to 12, there's still some spots available. So go ahead and register if you want.
There are six different playgrounds in the city that the kids can go to and enjoy the time outdoors with different activities that we have planned for them. Registration is on our city app, of course, or on the city website at moosejaw.ca.
Rob - And I should point out the playgrounds are open Monday through Friday, but if the kids or if you want your kids to participate, you should get registered the week before, right?
Maryse - Absolutely. So again, we can plan for up to 30 kids per playground. So, once we know, then we can have our staff there with the activities for the kids.
