On July 9, after an extensive investigation, Airdrie RCMP arrested a Crossfield teacher for multiple sexual offences.

"During the investigation, numerous interviews were conducted, and a total of eight victims were identified," shared the RCMP in a press release.

Rodney Reisner (47), a resident of Airdrie, has been charged with 16 criminal code offences, including:

  • Sexual assault (x8)
  • Sexual exploitation (x8)

"Reisner is currently in custody pending a Judicial Interim Release Hearing to determine his release."

The alleged incidents occurred when Reisner was a teacher at W.G. Murdoch School in Crossfield.

"Rocky View Schools (RVS) have stated that Reisner has been unassigned and not teaching in an RVS school since late 2023."

Airdrie RCMP are continuing their investigation and believe there may be additional victims. They’re asking anyone with information about similar incidents to come forward. Anyone with details is asked to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or reach out to their local police detachment.
