Alberta Health Services (AHS) has confirmed a case of measles in the Calgary Zone.  

The exposure in Claresholm at the Lander Treatment Centre.  

Anyone who attended the location on June 30 and July 1 between 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. could have been exposed to measles.  

AHS is advising individuals who were born in or after 1970 or have less than two doses of measles-containing vaccine to self-monitor for symptoms and review their immunization records.  

Measles symptoms include a fever of 38.3° C or higher, cough, runny nose, and/or red eyes, and a rash that appears three to seven days after the fever starts.   

If symptoms develop, individuals are advised to stay home and call the measles hotline at 1-844-944-3434 before visiting any healthcare facility or pharmacy.
