The International Peace Garden (IPG) will have two adaptive chairs available for use on July 13, August 9 and Sept. 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The motorized chairs run on tracks that allow them to move easily over varied terrain. Visitors with limited mobility are welcome to use the chairs for one-hour intervals to explore the garden with friends and family.

“We want everyone to be able to enjoy our beautiful garden,” Tim Chapman, CEO of IPG, said. “The chairs are easy to use and provide a comfortable and safe experience for visitors with limited mobility.”

The chairs are being provided by Annie’s House, a collaborative partnership between Anne Carlsen and Bottineau Winter Park. Annie’s House is a non-profit program offering adaptive recreational opportunities for individuals of all ages with disabilities, as well as veterans with a 10% or greater service-connected disability. Advance sign-ups for chair use are recommended and can be made on the IPG website
