Okotokians will be able to enjoy some movies and popcorn while enjoying the outdoors.

This summer, the Okotoks Film Festival will be hosting Pop Up Flicks, which will have movies for people to enjoy, for free, while getting outdoors.

There will be four pop-ups this summer, with the first one happening today (July 11) at the Lion's Campground.

At this week's pop up, they will be showing short films from around the world that are fun for the whole family.

The films will be played on a loop from 7 to 9 p.m., and people will be able to stick around and watch as many as they please.

The Okotoks Film Festival held a version of these pop ups last year, but this year, they made a slight change.

Last year, the pop ups were in one location, but this year they have decided to move the pop ups around town to different locations.

After the one this Friday, the next pop up will take place at Cimarron Park on July 26, and at that one, they will be showing some of the Film Festival's favourite short films they have shown over the years.

The third Pop Up this summer will take place in Drake Landing on Aug. 8, and they will be playing a collection of comedy shorts.

At the fourth, and final, Pop Up for the summer, the Okotoks Film Festival will be bringing short films to downtown Okotoks on Aug. 27.

During this Pop Up, they will be playing more of their favourite short films.

Each Pop Up will show six short films, which will be about 45 minutes' worth of films.

The Pop Up's will happen from 7 to 9 p.m. each of those nights.
