The City of Airdrie has provided another update when it comes to Inspire, Airdrie's new multi-use facility and library.

They took to social media to show the progress on the lighting around the building.

The post, which can be seen below, showcases some more signage, lighting around stars near the back of the building and lighting for the driveway to the parking garage.

According to the city, the building will be opening in October.

Back in May, the signage on the east side of the building was revealed. Landscape grading was also a priority.

Also, in May, the library announced that it had reached its fundraising goal of $1.5 million to expand its collection when it moves into Inspire.

"The Airdrie Public Library is thrilled to announce that it has officially reached its ambitious fundraising goal of $1.5 million dedicated to the expansion of its collection, marking a significant milestone in its mission to serve the growing and diverse needs of the Airdrie community," stated the library.

In April, the City of Airdrie posted on social media that the exterior public art, 'From Earth to Sky,' had been installed.

"Each of the seven red poles is 40 ft. long, forming a tipi at the height of 35 ft. and 6 in., symbolizing the bond between mother Earth and father sky and honouring each of the Treaty 7 First Nations: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani, Tsuut’ina, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations—Bearspaw, Chiniki, and Goodstoney," stated the city.
