RCMP say a woman is facing several charges after officers pulled over a vehicle near Lancer, Sask., earlier this week as part of an ongoing break-and-enter investigation.

Leader RCMP stopped the vehicle on Highway 32 on July 9 and arrested an adult woman at the scene.

Police say a search of the vehicle turned up multiple documents and credit cards belonging to people from several communities in southern Saskatchewan, including Moose Jaw, Parkbeg, Marquis, Tompkins, Liberty, Holdfast and Webb.

Officers also seized ammunition and break-in tools.

As a result of the investigation, Tessa Sakowsky, 44, of Clandonald, Alta., has been charged with three counts of mischief under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, unauthorized use of credit card data, possession of break-in instruments, possession of matter stolen from mail and failing to comply with a release order.

Sakowsky appeared in Swift Current provincial court on July 10.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about the case, or who believes they may have been a victim of stolen mail in southern Saskatchewan, to contact police or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
