Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued for Strathmore

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for Wheatland County, including Strathmore, Lyalta, and Carseland.

The watch was announced on Thursday (July 10) due to conditions being favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.

The group also asks that residents stay indoors during a thunderstorm, as lightning kills and injures Canadians every year.
