Another great year of local softball has come and gone in the Eagle Creek Softball League.
The ECSL has two divisions, U11 and U13. There were nine teams in the U11 division this year, Dundurn, Delisle, Elrose, Lucky Lake, Hanley, Outlook, Biggar, and two teams from Rosetown. Eight teams are in the U13 division, Biggar, Dundurn, Hanley, Outlook, Rosetown, Elrose, Asquith.
The leagues began playoffs in late June and were giving out banners by the end of the month. In the gold side of the U13 division the Biggar Nationals beat the Hanley Merchants in the final. In the U13 silver side it was the Asquith A's beating the Elrose Aces.
The U11 gold division was won by the Dundurn Lady Detonators, beating the Delisle Diamond Dogs. The silver side banner went to the Diefenbaker Diamonds who beat Outlook in the final series.
The league is always looking ahead to next season. The Eagle Creek Softball League houses teams within a 100 km radius of each other and has continued to grow each year. Anyone interested in adding a team should not hesitate to reach out, just send an email to eaglecreeksoftball@gmail.com.
