The Regina Red Sox outscored the Moose Jaw Miller Express 9-7 in Regina last night in Western Canadian Baseball League action. Matthew Fox and hometown boy Brady Bye hit home runs for Regina. Tanner Degrazia went 2 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI for Moose Jaw. The Miller Express have today off and will host Weyburn Beavers tomorrow.
In other WCBL east division action yesterday, the Saskatoon Berries beat Swift Current 11-6.
The Toronto Blue Jays are 55-41 at the All-Star break and sitting atop the standings in the American League East, two games up on the Yankees and three games ahead of the Boston Red Sox who won their 10th straight yesterday, 4-1 over Tampa Bay.
The Jays lost yesterday, 6-3 to the Athletics.
Week 6 of CFL action wrapped up last night in Edmonton with the BC Lions improving to 3-3 on the season. They beat the Elks 32-14.
In case you missed it, the Saskatchewan Roughriders suffered their first loss of the year on Saturday, 24-10 to Calgary.
The Riders are back at it Saturday night when the play the Lions in Vancouver.
