The Teepee Creek Stampede ran for three days over the weekend, including Friday.

One of Alberta's oldest stampedes brought back chuckwagon races from the WPCA.

With the Calgary Stampede chuckwagon races only having 27 wagons instead of 36 since moving to three wagons per heat, the WPCA held another sanctioned event in the hamlet of Teepee Creek near Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Blackie's Jordie Fike was in the hunt and finished in first on Day 1 but dropped down to 4th in the aggregate after Sunday's heats.

The winner of the 3 Day aggregate is declared the winner, and Lane Tournier won it on behalf of his dad, Luke.

Luke Tournier had a season-ending injury at the Wainwright Stampede.

18 drivers ran in heats of three over the three days.

The WPCA's next big event is the Battle of the Foohills in High River, which runs from Thursday, July 24 to 27.
