A recent study by Pollara shows that Albertans are the angriest among Canadians.
"We regularly track Canadians’ sentiment on core indicators as well as news flashpoints, analyzing mood over time and within key demographic, regional, and political segments," shared Pollara in their study.
The Rage Index examined six key topics:
- The latest stories in the news
- The Canadian economy
- The types of changes happening in Canada
- The provincial government
- Your own personal financial situation
- The federal government
Alberta and Saskatchewan led the way with the average percentage of people annoyed or angry with the topics above, with 52 per cent. Nova Scotia was third with 49 per cent.

The current average is 46 per cent, which is down 8 points since last November.
"Canadians are generally less angry this wave, especially toward the federal government, where anger has dropped by 18 points. There's also less frustration with provincial governments, the types of changes happening in the country, and recent news stories."
According to Pollara, economic-driven anger remains, with slight upticks in the percentage of Canadians angry about their finances and the economy.

Albertans lead the way when it comes to being angry with both the federal and provincial governments.
3,400 online surveys were conducted from May 16 to 20. Alberta had a total of 500 interviews.
