The Weyburn Beavers came into Moose Jaw and beat the Miller Express 5-4 in an extra inning last night. Noah Brooks went two for four with two RBI for the winners. Eduardo Saenz and Andy Rivas both hit home runs in a losing cause. Moose Jaw will host the Medicine Hat Mavericks tonight.

In other Western Canadian Baseball League action last night, Brooks outscored Regina 10-9 while the east division leading Saskatoon Berries beat Okotoks 11-8. The Berries are 32 and 5 on the season.

Rambler Park Fastball League action at Memorial Field last night, the Wynyard Blues overtook the Moose Jaw Canadians for first place. First, the Blues battled the Moose Jaw Giants to a 5-5 tie and then beat the Canadians in the nightcap 10-3. The Blues top the standings, two points up on both Moose Jaw teams.

The National League beat the American League 7-6 in the MLB All Star Game last night in the first ever "swing off" - a mini home run derby, after the teams were tied 6-6 after 9 innings. The regular schedule resumes Friday.

And the Moose Jaw Warriors made a trade yesterday, getting Kash Andresen from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a 2028 2nd round pick. Andresen, a centreman, appeared in 64 games for the Hurricanes last season, tallying eight goals and nine assists for 17 points.
