The Town of Nanton has downgraded their water restriction level, due to the recent rainy weather.

They had moved to a Level 2 Water Restriction in early May, which had limited outdoor water usage to twice per week, which included watering lawns, flowerbeds, gardens, washing vehicles, and using a sprinkler.

On July 15, the Town took to social media to let the public know that the rainy weather the area has been experiencing recently has allowed the Town to downgrade the water restriction to Level 1 Water Conservation.

On top of that, the Town's reservoir supply is currently satisfactory.

Under Level 1, residents are still encouraged to use water wisely, even though no formal restrictions are currently in place.

Residents who live in odd numbered houses are encouraged to water on Thursday's and Sunday's, while Even houses are encouraged to water on Wednesday's and Saturday's.

"We appreciate everyone’s cooperation during the higher restriction levels -- your efforts made a difference! Let’s keep up the good habits and continue being mindful of our water use," the Town stated in their social media post.
