Unity RCMP responded to a wide range of calls for service between July 8 and 14, including theft, fraud, a fire, and harassing communications.

A 31-year-old man from Macklin was charged with misuse of a credit card and possession of property obtained by crime following a complaint of theft.

Police received two separate reports of fraud; one remains under investigation, while the other was deemed unfounded. Officers also investigated an assault and a stolen vehicle complaint, both of which are still under investigation.

RCMP responded to a single-vehicle collision and issued a 60-day roadside suspension. No injuries were reported.

Members assisted with a Mental Health Act complaint, mediated a dispute between two adults, and spoke to individuals regarding property and communication complaints.

CN Police reported a grass fire near railway tracks in Senlac. Marsden Fire Department responded and extinguished the flames. The fire is not considered suspicious.

Three traffic complaints and one false 911 call were also logged during the week.

Unity RCMP remind residents that certain non-urgent crimes under $5,000 — including fraud, vandalism, lost property, and traffic offences — can be reported online at ocresielc.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/saskatchewan.

Anyone with information about ongoing investigations in the Unity, Wilkie or Macklin areas is asked to contact their local RCMP detachment or report anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or saskcrimestoppers.com.
