On July 6, around 11:30 a.m., Airdrie RCMP responded to a hit and run collision on the QEII in front of CrossIron Mall.

"The initial collision occurred in the southbound lanes, but northbound vehicles were also impacted. Four vehicles were involved in the collision, and one failed to remain," shared the RCMP.

Witnesses say the crash may have been caused by road rage.

"One witness did stop at the collision and provided photos of the vehicle that fled to the driver of the vehicle that was initially struck."

The driver took photos of the witness’s pictures but didn’t get their name or contact information.

Airdrie RCMP are asking to speak with this witness. Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200 or reach out to their local police.
