The Assiniboia & District Historical Museum is gearing up to launch an exciting temporary exhibit, ACE Academy: Flight Experience, starting on August 11, 2025. This immersive exhibit promises to captivate visitors with its authentic aircraft imagery and interactive displays, featuring cutting-edge motion-sensing technology.

"It's very immersive and a lot of people have given really good reviews. That's why we thought we would bring it in so everybody can take part in it," said Assiniboia & District Historical Museum coordinator, Sally Svenson.

The ACE Academy: Flight Experience offers a unique opportunity for visitors of all ages to engage with the history of aviation. Highlights of the exhibit include the chance to pilot WWI aircraft, dodge enemy planes in thrilling simulations, and explore an interactive biplane. The exhibit is designed to be both educational and entertaining, making it a perfect outing for families and aviation enthusiasts.

"We were excited when we saw that it was available in Saskatchewan, and we thought this would be a great opportunity to bring it to the whole area because it's something that everybody can take part in," stated Svenson.

Admission fees are set at $2 for children aged seven and under, $5 for students, and $10 for adults, each for a three-minute session. These fees also include access to the entire museum, providing a comprehensive historical experience. The exhibit will only be available until October 5.

The Assiniboia & District Historical Museum, located at 506 3rd Ave West, will be open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a brief closure from noon to 1:00 p.m. each day. For more information, visitors can check the museum's website or follow their Facebook page.
