Another near 400-yard night from Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris helped the Roughriders to a 33-27 road win against the BC Lions on Saturday night.

Harris finished the game with 395 yards on 23/30 attempts, throwing three touchdowns and one interception. The passing performance helped keep up with a good game on the other side from BC quarterback Nathan Rourke who finished with 337 yards, three touchdowns and one pick himself.

Saskatchewan dominated the first half with a 17-8 lead through the first quarter, adding two field goals in the second for a 23-11 lead at the half. To start the third Harris threw his third touchdown pass and second of the game to receiver Dhonte Meyers, who led a balanced Roughriders receiving attack with 132 yards and two touchdowns, three other pass-catchers finishing over 50 yards.

A late Lions touchdown and two-point convert made it look closer than it was, as the Riders didn't score in the fourth quarter on route to a one possession win, punctuated by a fourth quarter interception from Riders defensive back Marcus Sayles against his former team

The win allowed the Riders to keep pace with the Calgary Stampeders for first place in the CFL West Division. Both teams are 5-1, Calgary the only team to beat Saskatchewan in a 24-10 statement maker back in Week 6.

The Stampeders are first up on Thursday as they host Montreal to fire up Week 8 of the CFL season. The Roughriders play afterwards on Friday against the 1-4 Edmonton Elks as the early season divisional battle will continue to shake out.
