The Moose Jaw Major All Stars are heading to the Little League National Championship in Victoria from July 29 to Aug. 7. The All Stars won their Saskatchewan Little League provincial title with a three-game sweep of Regina North. Moose Jaw won Game 3 on Friday 8-5.

The Moose Jaw U15 'B' Ice also won the softball Saskatchewan provincial championship over the weekend.

It was all-star weekend in the Western Canadian Baseball League. Five Moose Jaw Miller Express players took part in the all-star game in Okotoks on Saturday. The game was called due to rain after six innings with the East All-Stars coming out on top 10-3. It was also announced over the weekend that the Saskatoon Berries will host next year's all-star game.

Before the all-star game, the Miller Express came away with a 12-7 win over the Medicine Hat Mavericks on Friday night. Their game against the Regina Red Sox on Sunday was postponed due to rain. It is being made up tonight at Ross Wells Park starting at 7:05 p.m.

Over to the CFL, the Saskatchewan Roughriders came away with a 33-27 win over the B.C. Lions on Saturday night. The Riders improve their record to 5-1 and are tied with Calgary for first place in the West Division.

And finally, in Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays completed a three-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants with an 8-6 win yesterday.
