The City of Weyburn has advised that 5th Street NE has been closed due to a watermain break between Souris Avenue and Bison Avenue. The closure took effect just after 11 a.m. and is expected to be in place for the rest of the day.
The closure comes as crews are already working on watermain infrastructure to the south of where the break took place. Souris Avenue is closed between 4th Street NE and 5th Street NE, along with the intersection of 5th Street and Souris Avenue.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area when possible and to follow all of the signage in the area.
