Stormy skies ahead: Thunderstorm watch follows air quality alert in Winnipeg

While the air quality warning has ended for the City of Winnipeg, there is now a severe thunderstorm watch. 

Environment Canada issued the watch at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, saying, "Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain."

The watch is expected to end for the City of Winnipeg Monday evening as thunderstorms move southward into the Red River Valley.
