The town of Nanton is getting ready for Nanton Round-Up Days, which is coming up soon.
Nanton Round-Up Days runs from Aug. 1 to 4, and on the holiday Monday, there will be the Nanton Boosters Parade, starting at 10 a.m.
T & T Disposal will be testing out their parade route on Monday, July 28, in preparation for the parade.
Because of the preparations, residents are being asked to have their garbage bins out by 7 a.m. sharp on that day, as the garbage collection route will be different than normal.
Crews will make sure they get to all of the homes along the parade route early enough to avoid conflicting with parade preparations.
The Town is reminding people to not put compost or yard waste into the blue recycling bins, even if it's in garbage bags.
"This creates contamination at the sorting centre and leads to extra charges that ultimately come back to the Town," the Town stated in a social media post. "Let's work together to keep costs down and keep our recycling system running properly."
