A Monday evening collision claimed the life of a Winnipeg woman on Monday.
Just before 5 p.m. on July 21, Gimli RCMP received a report of a collision on Highway 326, at the intersection of Highway 329, in the Rural Municipality of Bifrost.
When officers arrived on the scene, two vehicles were in the ditch, southwest of the intersection.
Following the investigation, it was revealed a pickup truck was going south on Highway 326 when a westbound sedan crossed through the intersection and was hit by the pickup truck.
The driver of the sedan was the sole occupant of the vehicle. The 34-year-old female from Winnipeg was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The 58-year-old male driver of the pickup truck was treated on the scene and released with no physical injuries. The 53-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital with minor non-life-threatening injuries. Both are from Arborg.
Gimli RCMP, along with RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
