The Sports Court at Nickle Lake Regional Park is now ready for action, complete with basketball hoops, pickleball nets, and fencing.
Park Manager Darren Wheeler said it was a couple of months in the making, and was finished off with plexi-paint.
"TOMCO Construction out of Calgary, Alberta, did the painting, and D.S.I. [Contracting] did all the concrete, and Epic Fence did the fencing on it.
The multi-purpose court is open for anyone to play whatever sport they like, and Wheeler said the kids have been having fun at night playing basketball since it opened.
Coming up on August 2nd, however, a very special use of the sports court will be taking place just for kids (or kids at heart).
"We're going to have a Foam Party inside this new court, so we've got a couple of foam cannons coming out. A company out of Regina is coming out at 3 on August 2nd, and hopefully celebrate with it full of foam."
He said it'll be a good time as part of Nickle Lake Day, and all it takes to join in on the fun is a Regional Park Pass.
