Strathmore Reds move provincial baseball tournament due to rain

The U18 Strathmore Reds are heading to a provincial tournament this weekend.

Between Friday (July 25) and Sunday, there will be several teams taking part in the tournament at the Cheadle ball diamond.

Here is a schedule of the tournament:

Friday

• 3 p.m. - Calgary Cardinals vs SJP Jays
• 6 p.m. - Fort McMurray Oil Giants vs Okotoks Outlaws

Saturday

• 9 a.m. - Airdrie Stars vs Calgary Cardinals
• 12 p.m. - Strathmore Reds vs Fort McMurray Oil Giants
• 3 p.m. - SJP Jays vs Airdrie Stars
• 6 p.m. - Okotoks Outlaws vs Strathmore Reds

The event was originally scheduled to be at the Kinsmen Park ball diamond in Strathmore, but was moved due to water at the diamond.

Playoffs for the Reds kick off on Sunday.
