Portage la Prairie RCMP are asking for the public's assistance in locating a man who escaped custody on Thursday.
RCMP say around 9 p.m. on Thursday, they were informed by the Manitoba First Nation Police Service that a suspect who had been arrested earlier in the day had escaped custody.
The suspect, 26-year-old Bryon Roulette of Winnipeg, is handcuffed and believed to be shirtless with blood stains on his shoes. He was also wearing greyish brown shorts.
He was last seen in the 500 block of 5th Street SE in Portage la Prairie at around 7:30 p.m.
RCMP and MNFPS are searching for Roulette. Specialized units, including the Manitoba RCMP Police Dog Service and the RCMP Remotely Piloted Aircraft System, are also hunting for him.
If Roulette is spotted, call 911 immediately and do not approach him.
