The first place Saskatoon Berries came into Moose Jaw and beat the Miller Express 13-3 yesterday at Ross Wells Park.
Four different players hit home runs for the Berries, including Carnduff, Saskatchewan's Carter Beck who went three for five with two RBI.
The Millers have today off. They'll host the Regina Red Sox tomorrow night.
In other Western Canadian Baseball League action yesterday, the Red Sox won two games, 4-0 over Weyburn in the afternoon and then they beat Swift Current 15-1 last night.
Toronto Blue Jays took three of four weekend games in Detroit, losing yesterday's contest 10-4. The Jays with a five-and-a-half games lead on the Yankees atop the American League East. They start a fresh series in Baltimore tonight.
Local golfer Ken Bradley, out of the Hillcrest Club, is back at home after winning his 7th Sask Golf Legends title at the Provincial Senior Championships in Swift Current. Club mate Mae Farrer had a top-five finish in the 60+ event in the Senior Women's Championships.
The Prince Albert Predators won their 3rd straight Prairie Gold Lacrosse League junior championship on the weekend, beating the Moose Jaw Mustangs 14-12. It was a two-game sweep for PA in the best-of-three.
CFL last night, Hamilton Tiger Cats came from behind and beat the Lions in BC 37-33. In case you missed it, the Saskatchewan Roughriders improved to 6 and 1 with a 21-18 win over Edmonton on Friday night. The Riders play the Alouettes in Montreal Saturday night.
