Road construction to begin on Victoria Street

The City of Winkler has confirmed that a section of Victoria Street will be closed starting Wednesday morning, July 30th, as crews begin roadwork. 

The closure affects Victoria Street from 1st Street to George Avenue, with work including full road surface removal, repacking of the base, and a fresh asphalt resurfacing. 

No street parking will be allowed in the area beginning Tuesday evening, July 29th. Only local traffic will be permitted through the construction zone while the work is underway. 

The project is expected to be completed by Friday, August 8th, weather permitting. Drivers are asked to plan alternate routes and use caution in the area.
