18UAAA Red Sox wrap season up with provincial competition

The curtain has come down on the 2025 season for the East Centra 18U AAA Red Sox as they bowed out of the provincial championship tournament on Saturday.  

After their 4-1win on Friday over the White Butte Broncos, the Red Sox dropped their second Friday game against the Regina White Sox, who eventually worked their way through to the final game, losing out to the Saskatoon Cubs, this year’s champs.  

The Red Sox final game was a heartbreaker dropped their final game in a heartbreaker when the Regina Athletics broke a tie with a single to score one run and eliminate the Red Sox from provincial contention. 

 Congrats to the Cubs for their championship season, and hats off to our Red Sox for another season of great SPBL baseball.
