1 person hospitalized, firefighter injured in North End blaze

One person is in hospital and a firefighter is recovering following a blaze Tuesday evening in the North End. 

The fire broke out just after 8:30 p.m. in a home in the 600 block of Pritchard Avenue. 

The home was filled with smoke and flames when firefighters arrived. However, crews were able to get the fire under control very quickly. 

One person was transported to hospital in stable condition. Meanwhile, a firefighter suffered a minor injury and was assessed by paramedics on scene. They did not require a trip to the hospital. 

There is no word on what caused the fire. 

The investigation is ongoing.
