Drivers heading west on the Trans-Canada Highway may encounter minor delays on Wednesday as construction narrows traffic to one lane near the Highway 16 junction.

Westbound traffic is reduced to a single lane for approximately two miles to allow for general maintenance where crews appear to be filling cracks along the highway surface.

Drivers can expect slightly slower travel times through the area, and officials are urging motorists to slow down, stay alert, and watch for workers and equipment along the roadside.

Though no major delays are currently expected, drivers should allow extra time during peak travel periods.
