RCMP say missing Airdrie youth has been located safe

A teenager reported missing earlier this week in Airdrie has been found safe, RCMP said Thursday.

Mounties issued a request for public assistance Wednesday after the 14-year-old was last seen on July 29.

In a short update the next morning, Airdrie RCMP confirmed the youth had been located and thanked the public and media for their help.

No other information was released.
